Firstly, let me ask you something, what makes you happier? How you overcome your daily challenges, obstacles, and life
Well, honestly I oftentimes find myself reflecting on life, asking myself have I really enjoyed it fully. Have I achieved what I want? Sometimes we are not able to achieve all our goals in life, what can leave us in concern, negativity and bad mood. That may also result in not recognizing the positive side of it. The feeling of failure is something of what we’re afraid, something that we want to skip in life and generally is inescapable, but have you ever thought if it has a positive side?
What I’ve learned is that we almost never stop and recognize our daily achievements, and those all the situations that we have overcome throughout of our life. I know that life can be cruel and tests us on so many levels, but in the end, their result depends just on how we cope with them and do we learn anything from it. Just like most of you, I’ve overcome many challenging times, and what I’ve learned is that our physical resources can defeat and overcome almost any challenge. I would like to share with you my thoughts and some tips in the hope that they can help some of you who are facing a tough time. Just keep reading.
Focus on the positives
Every difficulty or challenge in our life has its positive side, as I’ve already said. It may be the thing that you learned from the experience. For example, losing your job can help you realize the value of
the simplest things and value them much more, such as your family time. These things are simple things that we can often forget when we are busy and stressed by work.
Enjoying those moments as a family while we find a new job helps us to recognize many skills that we have developed and were not even aware of it. The loss in many ways can make us realize the true values in life, as well as open up new ways to move forward. And let me say you just one thing – quitting my 9-5 job was the best thing in my life, even if I thought it will be the end of the world.
Look for lessons in every experience
There will always be lessons from which we can learn, change the way we think, but also force us to grow and improve. Being willing to learn will give a wider vision of what we can achieve. Our life is our best teacher and guide by revealing us areas where we can grow and develop. Each lesson can truly be a blessing.
Look for what’s new
Every challenge opens new ways and doors, all we need is to learn to adapt that all challenges can represent some sort of change. We should not be frightened of that change and take the next step with confidence. If we look for new possibilities and opportunities, we will surely find them and we will open those new ways to develop in one way or another. It is remarkable that in making our decisions they can give us a completely different direction of life, so much that sometimes it surprises us. This allows us to direct our energy towards what is new and start moving towards instead of disbursing our energy on fighting or resisting the change.
Believing that you CAN achieve your goal gives you the reason to overcome your challenge. Many times we do not believe that the answer is in us, or that we must change our way of thinking. But there is a long, long way between just thinking and acting. The faith comes with the commitment to invest your time, effort and resources to ensure that you will continue to meet your short-term goals. Repeated success in achieving your goals increase your motivation, which, in turn, increases your belief in your abilities to deliver your long-term goal.
Learn to let go.
Every process to move forward requires things we need to leave aside. Using the lessons that we learned and letting go of the rest that’s stopping us in some way allows us to progress and continue moving forward
In the end…
All the above mentioned has been genuinely useful for me to overcome and surpass the challenges of life. Life can sometimes be very difficult, but it can also be very simple and beautiful. I’ll finish my article with one quote that has stuck to my brain:
Stay true to yourself, yet always be open to learn. Work hard, and never give up on your dreams, even when nobody else believes they can come true but you. These are not cliches but real tools you need no matter what you do in life to stay focused on your path.
