Have you ever asked yourself how goes a day of those successful people? Do they have some special morning routine which makes them more productive throughout the day? In this modern era, our life tempo is quite quick and stressful, our day is fulfilled with tasks and obligations that we don’t have enough time for ourselves.
Well, these are some small tips and routines that play very important part in their life. And if you can build and stick with these habits – they can change your life, too. But first, let’s talk a little bit …
So, every morning your alarm clock starts ringing at a certain point in time, right? What do you do?
Snooze? And keep snoozing till you know you are definitely late? Then you start to panic, brush your teeth as fast as you can and head out feeling stressed and miserable. You do know you’re not the only one, but is that the way to start your day? Just 30 minutes every morning can change your whole life. Small changes like eating breakfast and exercising will keep you energizes and ready to accomplish everything you want.
Here is the list of 5 things that will change your life, things that highly successful people do every morning and the best part of it is they only take few minutes.
1. ” Snooze” for successful people does not exist!
The first thing you need to do is to wake at right time. No more „5 minutes more”. As your alarm starts ringing, you need to be up on your feet, ready for the rest of your day. To be able to do that, you’ll need to get in tune with your body’s clock and get enough sleep. How many times did you wake up late at night, thinking about yesterday’s problems or tomorrows tasks and obligations? Not only you couldn’t sleep well after that, but the whole next day you were tired, exhausted and cranky. So, if you don’t get enough sleep your body nor brain can function properly. It will be hard, but determination is a key. Once you create that “mindset” everything will be easier. And at the end, after a while, you’ll feel much better and stick with this habit, believe me.
2. Don’t look at your phone
One of my own personal struggles, I must be honest. Put it away, so you won’t see it. If you start scrolling, you’ll be there, laying on the bed for hours and doing nothing for your productivity. It can also trigger stress, even if you don’t realize it. Best thing is to buy those real alarm clock – doing that your phone won’t be near your, and that sound of the alarm clock is not so pleasant, so you’ll be very fast on your feet. Also, you can find another activity like exercising, reading or even writing – it will be much better than scrolling Facebook or Instagram.
3. Do not skip your breakfast!
Breakfast is definitely your most important meal of the day. Don’t ever miss it, even if it’s just a bowl of cereal, oatmeal or maybe a granola bar. Also, you need to get dehydrated – drink a glass of water or freshly squeezed juice. Lemon juice is a great option, put few drops in your water and start your day by drinking this amazingly healthy drink. It will refresh you, prepare your body for a day, instantly wake up you and also freshen your breath. Even better place the glass near your bad, that’s how you will grab it easily even with your eyes closed. Energy is something you need throughout the day to be productive and fuel your body. Even better if you can prepare and pack yourself a snack before leaving your house. That way you won’t skip your meals, won’t reach for something unhealthy and also save money.
4. Exercise or meditate!
By jumping into the exercise in the morning, you’ll be waking your body instantly. Meditation or even yoga is a great way of starting your day. It will improve your concentration and make you more positive, centered and energized. And if it’s not your thing, you can walk around the house. It will do the same thing and trust me, you’ll feel much better after. One more tip, weight yourself – that way you can establish your health goals. Morning workouts have many benefits, they will improve your mental and physical energy, enhance your metabolism and help you to sleep better. It really can be cure for anything from poor digestion, feeling depressed to colds. I challenge you to do it tomorrow!
5. Do a list of your daily tasks!
Write down all your daily tasks. It would be best for you to write it down with a pen. You’ll be more focused, and you’ll have a clear plan for the rest of the day. Be efficient, but more so realistic deciding your priorities. Visualize your perfect day and it will be more likely to succeed at it. Believe me, without a list or a plan, your day can come to the end and just then you’ll realize that you have achieved of finished nothing important.
At the end…
It will be tough at the beginning, but you need to be persistent. Mornings are not for everyone, I know that, but after a while, you will notice the improvement and you’ll be more positive and productive. That is how successful people do it. This will help you to create the right „ mindset “, and you’ll tackle all the challenges that come through the day. Don’t forget to listen or read motivational speeches, it will make you feel much more confident to start your day. We all need them on a daily basis.
